Immunity for a Woman’s Body
Essential oils are beautifully harmonious for a woman’s body for every stage, and at level of wellness. These little drops of oils are all naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and more. In fact, many hospitals are now using essential oils in place of strong pharmaceutical anti-biotics to treat superbugs that are otherwise unresponsive. They are potent natural healers; in many cases, their fabulous aroma is just an added benefit.
Essential oils are supremely intelligent. They only seek out and destroy the harmful pathogens and bacteria and leave the beneficial (gut) bacteria alone. It’s empowering to use concentrated flowers and plants for our healing and wellness rather than synthetic products created by drug companies that are distanced from the ebbs and flows of nature.
Many women don’t yet fully know how to use them in their daily lives to boost immunity, improve mood and keep the whole body healthy. I invite you to try a few methods below and see how the body opens to receive their healing nectars. It’s woman magic at its best.
One of the simplest ways to use essential oils to boost immunity is on a single drop on honey. If you are using high quality steam-distilled oils from a reputable supplier, like Pur Frequency you can feel confident taking a drop or two internally; it will help rather than harm.
What to do when you are getting the flu?
When the first symptom appears, take 1-2 drops of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, rosemary, tea tree OR eucalyptus essential oil on ½ a teaspoon of raw honey. Repeat every 30 minutes with a maximum of 10 drops per day. If you want to make this formula even more potent, try chopping up a clove of garlic, combine it with the honey and essential oil and chew well. Virtually nothing will be able to stand that anti-bacterial combination.
Another way to help detoxify the body is with a warm foot bath with sea salt and essential oils. This is a wonderful indulgence if you are stressed out, feeling like you are getting sick or wearing stilettos for too long (ouch). Our feet long to be cared for in the most loving ways. I like to use oils that bring blood and energy to the feet, calm the nerves and boost energy. For this, my favorite combination is 3 drops black pepper, 2 drops lavender, 3 drops cypress and 1 drop grapefruit. Use ½ a cup of sea salt in a bucket of warm water. Mix until the salt is dissolved. Add the essential oils at the end. Soak for at least 20 minutes and finish with a coconut oil foot massage. Stress depresses the immune system. This method, along with the healing power of essential oils, will bring you back to homeostasis.
Lastly, I like to use essential oils inside women’s sacred petals to restore the pH to balance. The pH can easily get out of balance with a new sexual partner, eating too much sugar and fried food, stress, or not taking the time for proper hygiene. Essential oils are perfect for treating the delicate petals. Use a 5% concentration of lavender, chamomile, rose otto and geranium in coconut oil and applied internally and externally on the labia. This is a perfect antidote to yeast infections, tender tissues, vaginal dryness or bacterial vaginosis. Experiment with the concentrations to find one that is potent enough for you without being overwhelming. I sometimes like to use a very strong concentration in specific instances. There is also almost nothing more lovely than inhaling the aroma of flowers through your delicate petals. It’s quite a turn on too.
I invite my clients to experiment with essential oils and trust that they are safe and beneficial. With moderate dosages and an openness to learn, they are eager to reveal their healing secrets with you so you never have to reach for a bottle of cough syrup or anti-biotics again.
